Plague Spreads in Colorado as Three More Patients Found

Three more plague cases were found in Colorado, a week after the first infection of the deadliest form of the disease was reported in the state in a decade.
The man initially reported with pneumonic plague on July 11 is hospitalized. Two of the new cases also had pneumonic plague, while the third had a milder form. All four cases may be linked to the original man’s dog, which died from the illness, state health officials said. – Bloomberg

Plague outbreaks have occurred due to numerous sources or circumstances in history, with many of the earliest outbreaks happening due to poor sanitation, low communication levels, and superstitious fears and hysteria.  Going back to the time of the Byzantine Empire, the plague that ravaged the Eastern Roman Empire was namedafter the hated ruler Justinian, and was believed to have been provided by the gods for some unknown sins the leadership had done.
Plague Picture
In recent times, the most dire outbreak of disease came shortly after the end of World War I, where a form of Influenza was responsible for the deaths of upwards of 50 million people.  The carnage, deaths, and pestilence that came from tens of millions of people being slaughtered across the European continent is believed to have assisted in the plagues mutation, and with food shortages and lowered immune systems because of the war, people were unable to resist and fight against that year’s flu cycle.
Today, man has sought to harness the power of nature, and even go as far as weaponize plague strains for both research, and nefarious purposes.  In fact, a new and shocking interviewgiven to V, the Guerrilla Economist on July 18 from a former 4-star General suggests that bio-weapons such as the Pneumonic Plague could already be in the plans of diabolical agencies to unleash upon this nation, with its goal being population control and eradication.
This decade has seen several lab created strains of plague viruses leak into the public, and cause both deaths and hysteria in areas all around the world.  From the SARS and Bird-Flu epidemics of Southeast Asia, to the ongoing Ebola Virus outbreak in Africa, Americans need to be wary and watch carefully the evolution of this week’s plague occurrences in Colorado, as the potential for more infections and deaths are possible since the carriers that infected the original spreader (a dog) are still out in force.
